Qualified, experienced UXO specialists on your site, supporting ground investigation, piling and excavation in known UXO risk areas.
We provide UXO risk mitigation and technical support during intrusive works such as drilling, trial pitting and piling. GI and pile positions are surface cleared with industry-recognised magnetometers to detect buried ferrous anomalies before any ground is broken. For positions deeper than 2 to 3 metres we use downhole magnetometer procedures, surveying each hole in stages as it is advanced.
For site investigation, excavations or general groundworks in a known UXO risk area, a qualified UXO Specialist supervises all open excavations to the UXO risk depth and investigates any suspect items. Excavations are carried out safely and in a controlled way, with as little disruption as possible if UXO is uncovered.
Our training gives site teams the knowledge to recognise and respond safely to potential unexploded ordnance. It covers the history of the local area, the ordnance most likely to be encountered, insurance and legal considerations, and what to do if a suspect item is found. Hands-on sessions use inert examples from our reference collection, including German aerial bombs and British land service ammunition.
Send us your works programme and the site risk assessment, and we will confirm availability and a price.
